Yeshiva Har Torah (YHT) is an academically progressive, Centrist Orthodox school serving over 800 students in pre-K-8th grade and is committed to serving the Jewish community by “Building the Jewish Future, One Child at a Time.”

The Yeshiva dedicates all of its resources, efforts and energy to provide every student with a child-centered, spiritually inspired, rigorous educational experience in both Jewish and General studies.

Yeshiva Har Torah is seeking a Director of Development who will design, develop and manage comprehensive short and long term development strategic plans and oversee all aspects of the Yeshiva’s development and fundraising efforts. This role involves planning, organizing, and directing various fundraising activities, including major gift cultivation and stewardship, annual, capital and endowment campaigns, special events, and planned giving. A focus on building and stewarding donors within the Yeshiva’s families and community, and developing relationships with alumni, corporate and foundation leaders is critical.

Reporting to the Head of School, the Director of Development will also work closely with the Executive Director, CFO, Board of Directors and lay leaders.

Key Responsibilities:
*(Work in partnership with the Head of School to develop and implement short and long term advancement strategic plans
*Design and implement a robust alumni giving program and build the prospect pipeline
*Provide development update reports on a regular and adhoc basis, weekly and monthly
Lead an active capital campaign committee
*Cultivate relationships and work collaboratively with board members, PTA leaders, grandparents, friends, and community
*Clearly articulate and promote a strong case of need for philanthropy in Jewish education; build, create and sustain a culture that understands the relationship between philanthropy and a YHT education
*Oversee management of gift processing, donor acknowledgments, donor database and reporting
*Conduct prospect research and cultivation efforts
*Attend and participate in YHT events and activities, fostering excitement and pride for YHT fundraising

Qualifications & Skills:
*7+ years of increased responsibility in fundraising, ideally for an independent school, Jewish Day School or other Jewish organization
*Bachelor’s Degree required
*Proven track record of fundraising success, securing major gifts and leading annual campaigns
*Experience in creating and executing growth-oriented development plans
*Demonstrates leadership, embodies the YHT mission, and exemplifies a collaborative, decisive, motivating and engaging communication style
*Ability to articulate ideas and information effectively
*Ability to balance multiple priorities and maintain an organized and dynamic list of projects and tasks
*Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel, proficiency
*Working knowledge of development best practices, trends in education and development, and fundraising tools and technology, including donor databases, e-mail, social media, and online campaigns, and donor research.
